Directions

By Car
All roads leading into Edinburgh pass a sign directing them to the City Bypass A720. Take the city bypass A720 to the Sheriff hall
roundabout (east end of bypass), then take the A7 Edinburgh road for approx 4 mile to the Cameron Toll roundabout (it has a railway
bridge going over the top of it). Again follow the A7 city centre sign and you are now on Dalkeith Road. You will then come to a set of traffic
lights at T-junction. Head through the lights, at the next junction, head through the lights and Spence Street is the second opening on your
left opposite the church.

By Bus or Train
Either take a taxi from the centre which will cost about four Pounds or you can take the local bus from Princes Street. The stop is outside
Burtons Department store opposite the Waverley Bridge near the Waverley Train Station.

BUS:- when you come out of St Andrews Square Bus Station follow the direction the buses drive out) turn left into St Andrews Square and
walk down to Princes Street (you will see the Waverley Shopping Centre entrance across the junction) Turn right on Princes Street and
you will then see the bus stop outside Burtons Dept Store.

TRAIN:- Either come up the Waverley steps onto Princes Street or come up the taxi ramp onto Waverley Bridge, turn right and walk up onto
Princes Street you will then see the bus stop on the shop side of Princes Street.

You can take either the number 14,C3, 33 or a green 86. The fare is 1 GB pound and you will need exact fare as drivers do not give
change. Ask the driver for the stop past the Commonwealth Swimming Pool. If you sit to the left hand side of the bus, you will see the pool
and can be ready to get off. You then cross over the road at the church into Spence Street.

By Air
From Edinburgh Airport either by Taxi which will cost between eighteen and twenty Pounds or take the express bus to Waverley Bridge (5
Pounds return, 3 Pounds.20 pence single with LRT. Guide Friday usually costs a little more). Then follow directions above for Train/Bus. If
you get lost at any point find a phone box, take a note of which street you are on, if by car which way the car is pointing, and we will give
you directions.

There are various day bus passes in Edinburgh but they do depend on how much you are going to use local buses, remembering it is
only 80pence each way between the Gil Dun & Princess Street. The City centre is quite compact and unless you are going to visit eg the
Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh Zoo or the Modern Art galleries it is not worthwhile getting a day ticket which costs £2.40. However if you are
coming in by air in the morning and intend exploring further afield you might like to consider an Air saver ticket which gives you a single
journey from the airport plus unlimited travel for a day over most of LRT bus network, the price is £4.20.
