BENIDORM OLD TOWN - Your guide to the quaint original Benidorm for some real Spain!
Benidorm Guide BENIDORM CENTRO / OLD TOWN Quality Food Tapas Bars & Real Spain
|
The old town, Benidorm centro is between the Levante and
Poniente beaches and still retains many of the original
buildings in tiny narrow streets. The headland it is built on is
well worth investigating for the fantastic views you see over
the entire city, the best place to enjoy the Benidorm weather
too. You will also find great little Tapas bars and restaurants
here offering a real taste of Spain. During fiestas and in the
summer months there is an artisans market offering all kinds
of ceramics, paintings and locally produced gifts at very good
prices. The blue tiled domed church is a must visit attraction
being the center piece of Benidorm old town. Well worth a
visit to see the famous carving of the " blessed virgin ".

Are you one of the many people who are tired of hotels
and want something a little different? Then we suggest you
take a look at the brand new Grapevine Guest House.
You will find 4 star lodging in this lovely boutique style guest
house in a quiet street just 30m form the beach. They even
give guests a free breakfast! Rooms are a delight and even
have a fridge. Totally refurbished in 2009
The old town is also where you will find the vibrant gay
village a feature of Benidorm for over 30 years with 25 bars
and cabaret venues for those looking for an alternative night
out where you can see some of the most outrageous drag
shows in venues like Kafee Klee and the Queens.

Enjoy a café solo con hielo ( Iced espresso coffee ) like the locals do in one of the terrace cafés especially on a
warm Summer evening. For the best 2 star hotel in Benidorm look at the Mar Blau opposite the park and beach or
for a great 4 star hotel our choice is the excellent Avenida just 75m from the beach with great guest reviews.
If you wish to stay in this part of the town you may find the Queens ideal if you enjoy a good knees up!. An English
owned hotel catering for British visitors in the heart of the village at very good value weekly rates. For an apartment
in an old town house take a look at Colliers private holiday apartment for a good value holiday in Benidorm.
For eating out at lunch time try Rumours or Grannies Teahouse and do also pop along to Dominoes and Caspers
for a late breakfast or brunch. If you want a snack and some Sun then head for Refuel "The café on the Park"
located above park Elche perfect for coffee and cake after the beach. Enjoy the sunny terrace & people watching.
The best restaurants in Benidorm are in the old town we recommend Paneils & Two Palms in Calle De La
Palma plus the Vagabond and at the top of the street you will find Calle La Biga and big Michael´s Restaurant. All
these venues offer great set menus from only 12€ making a very affordable night out. For a fine restaurant just
20m from the Levante beach in the old town book a table at Esteban's where a set menu of fine food will only cost
you an amazing 13€. Esteban's also have a desert menu to die for!! All the above have great new season menus.
We hope you enjoy a little of the original village
and visit the old town. To see some great photos of
