Camposol Hotel Benidorm Review

18 June 2010
I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have been very happy there. The tariff is
excellent,it's spotlessly clean, plenty to eat at mealtimes and the staff have always been
extremely helpful and friendly.Yes they are Spanish speaking but I've never had any problems,
and one has to remember this is their country not ours. The location has much going for it which
is ideal for my needs(and anyone else's) and the hill...well just take it slowly.  If you're on holiday
who wants to rush anyway!.  The end of September I shall be back here again for another 2
weeks, which will be my 3rd stay at the Camposol this year, this I think says it all. I would and
have recommended this hotel many times and all who've stayed have been more than happy.
On a final note I've been holidaying in Benidorm for more years than I care to remember and if
the Camposol has vacancies that's where I stay.  The friends I've made in that area
(both Spanish and British) are numerous and a warm friendly welcome always greets my return,
both from them and the CAMPOSOL staff.

hotel was up a hill a bit of a trek if u had walking difficulties, food was very basic,  not much
variety but u get what u pay for, very Spanish hotel, (think we were the only English there) staff
were friendly and the rooms were very clean if you just want somewhere to sleep then this hotel
would be fine.

Just returned from a week in the Camposol and found the hotel very clean in all areas. Staff very
friendly. The only grouse I have is that the food was never hot. Hot! never mind hot barely warm.
To me it was good food wasted. That is why it did not get the full 5.

Just arrived back from Camposol Hotel. Had never stayed there previously, always choosing
higher 'starred' hotels in the 'New Town'. After reading the mixed reviews, wasn't really sure what
to expect. Location wise, very handy for the old town, shops, cafés, beach etc, but is situated on
a  hill. The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. English is not their strong point,
but make an effort, be polite and you will get the same in return. The hotel is basic, but that is to
be expected for the price and star rating. However, it was spotlessly clean, our room and balcony
were of a generous size with a good sized bathroom. Yes, the hotel mainly caters for the
Spanish, but Benidorm is in Spain, which a lot of 'Brits' tend to forget. Having said that, it was a
refreshing change to note the Spanish guests were far better mannered than us English!IEe: No
slamming and banging doors at night, no pushing and shoving at meal times, no queueing up
for the restaurant half an hour before service etc ! Food was rather basic, but you won't go
hungry. Typical breakfast was bacon, eggs, beans, a selection of cereals, fruit, juices, toast etc.
Lunch and dinner comprising of at least three or four hot meat or fish dishes, plentiful salad bar,
seafood, fresh fruit etc. If you are looking for excellent value for money on a winter break, and
appreciate that you are holidaying in Spain, and not England you can't go wrong at the
Camposol. Would definitely stay there again without hesitation.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years and we have found it to be just what we want. Yes
there are Spanish guests which some have mentioned with surprise, but it is their country. What
do we like about it everything, the rooms, food, wine, beer they are all good value for money. If
you want it to be any better then go else where and pay more money. Being pensions its spot
on. Just a little walk down the road are all the lovely Tapas bars, cafés etc. In we found a bar on
the front selling a pint of San Miguel for 1.50 Euro, cant be bad. Because of its location you not
find many English who like to be shall we say a bit vocal, they prefer to stay at the other hotels
that accommodate their kind of holiday. At this moment we are just in the process of booking
another holiday at the Camposol.

Very clean hotel. Maid every day. Food basic but filling. Staff speak English and informative. If you
are not fussy, this is ideal. Location is great as local bar Vincents is down the road; newspapers
are up the road, and a bakers on the corner.

A popular choice for those looking for a small value holiday Hotel in the center of
Benidorm old town.  Offering simple very clean accommodation in the vibrant
Spanish quarter of the resort.  Staff are very friendly in this typical Spanish hotel.
Guests can expect basic rooms and traditional cuisine.  Facilities include a pool
bar and cafeteria.  Being close to all the old town has to offer and only a short
stroll to the
beaches the Camposol is ideal for couples wanting a budget stay in
Benidorm. (Hotel is on a hill but not steep so don´t be put off, more of a slope!)

You will read mixed reviews about the Camposol but this is a
2 star rated hotel and
as such offers less facilities.  However many guests say it is great for the money
and more than lives up to the rating and their expectations. B&B will suit most
