We found the hotel reception very good and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and bright. The food was of good quality and the selection was good, but sometimes cold, especially the soups. There is however a microwave for customers to use. The bar service was excellent to the most part except for one barman who was very rude and abrupt sometimes, e.g when being passed cards back he would slam them down on the counter when you had your hand out to get them back. As others have reported the duo on most nights was very repetitious and sang out of tune, the animacion tried their best to keep people entertained. The hotel bedrooms are very clean and we had beds changed every two days and clean towels every day. The TV programmes are very poor mostly news channels. The position of the hotel is not great 15 mins to beach, no hills, but it is a quiet and low level hotel, but there is however a great bus service along the road to the centre of the old town We are going back for another visit in September and we are looking forward to it. The hotel was Excellent plenty of space in the room for 3, good variety of food, drinks on all inclusive where good, Amstel beer and local Spirits. Icecream cream up till 6 for the kids. Entertainment every night for the kids was the same but it is what they want and all the kids seemed to enjoy it. The pool area was large, my only complaint was the kids weren't allowed any pool toys in the water which is a bit strict. The majority of staff where friendly and helpful, again with the exception of the 2 who worked in the shop and looked after the indoor pool. Their face tripped them the whole time. Clean and comfortable, food and drink all good. Fair walk into town. Would recommend but not if you want peace and don't like kids, but if you want quiet why are you going to Benidorm. D Hamer, England Mature Couple (36+) 15 January 2010 This is a lovely clean and well presented hotel. The rooms and the appearance of everything could not be faulted. The food was good, the staff all but the waiters were very cheerful particularly the girl in the bar, they never moaned - BUT and its a big but, why or why do they have children at this hotel when there really is not anything for them to do in the evenings. Luckily we did not have our grandchildren with us, they would have been bored stiff in the evenings. Consequently the children that were there went a bit mad in the evenings, sliding up and down the lounge room, shouting and running about when the poor waiters were trying to carry trays of drinks. If this hotel was to be no under 16 it would be a fabulous place to stay. It was about a mile from the front and was lovely and flat to walk along. The people staying there were also very nice - mostly British and Dutch. We could not fault anything about the adults behaviour nobody was rolling around drunk or being abusive - lovely atmosphere, its just a shame about the children. The dinning room was very good and the food had plenty of choice for all meal times. The hotel was about 15 minutes walk from the main beach area but nothing to tiring. Although the hotel is a little further out it is still worth a visit and we would stay here again. We are now looking to book up again for next year its 1 of the best hotels we have ever been in Miss hare, Family with teenagers 12+ 22 August 2009 Just returned from a 7 night stay at the Mediterraneo and can honestly say it was a fantastic holiday. The staff are ace, the hotel is ace, the food was apart from 2 days variable and plentiful, we read reviews before about people who had problems getting served more than 2 drinks with the card system, but we had no such problems, the rooms are cleaned daily, as was the pool and terrace area. Oh and ignore the "Do not reserve your sunbed" signs, because everyone else does The walk to the beach is between 10 to 20 Min's depending on how fast your kids can walk, but worth the wait Anyone thinking of going, go because I want to go back next year Mr & Mrs - West Yorkshire - Family with Children 11 and Under |
