| Barry and Chris are fast becoming an established show bar here in old town Benidorm. Old town and old time music hall! Well old it certainly is not. These guys know their stuff from years and years of being real troupers who have learnt their craft. When I was invited to revue the bar I was totally overwhelmed by the incredible collection of fantastic original theatre posters and I discovered they also have a huge collection of 1950s and 60s TV shows from the likes of Sinatra, Garland, Martin - in fact I think they have every big name that ever was. You can guarantee if you are a fan they will have your idol on the big screen in the bar. If you have a talent yourself and play piano or sing Barry and Chris are happy for you to pop in and tickle the ivories for a while, in fact they welcome it. To top all this nostalgia there is a different show every night and with 50 years experience between them you will leave wanting more and are sure to make the Music hall show bar your local throughout your holiday. Barry and Chris also now own the Two Palms Restaurant across the road too - where you can enjoy a real theatrical dining experience also. |

| For a unique night out, right in the heart of Benidorm’s Old Town Chris Allen and Barry Britten’s Music Hall, is a new, beautifully furbished, air conditioned, comedy piano-singalong, ‘theatre’ bar offering a comfortable, pleasant environment for a great time out. The walls are adorned with original music hall and variety theatre posters, programmes and photos, from the 1920’s onwards from Chris’s personal collection, with a special, affectionate emphasis on George Formby, Gracie Fields and The London Palladium, and the entertainment offered at Music Hall reflects the showbiz atmosphere that is immediately apparent from the decor. Barry, who comes from a theatrical family, has been entertaining professionally for over thirty years appearing at hundreds of theatres and cabaret clubs throughout the world. For many years he compered some of the biggest variety shows to be produced, appearing in theatres and on TV alongside such stars as Doddy (at the London Palladium), Monkhouse, Barrymore, Wisdom, Zavaroni, etc. Chris, who began entertaining professionally in his teens, has been acknowledged as one of the finest ukulele-banjo performers in England for many years, and a prominent part of his performance is naturally his tribute to his hero, George Formby. He has appeared in cabaret, opera, panto, music hall and variety and has performed with many big star names. |
