A small cove of just 120m known as Cala de Mal Pas is tucked away by the harbour below the Balcón de Mediterrañeo on the Poniente side of town, one of the best loved beaches in Benidorm. In summer lifeguard watch over you, and sunbeds with parasols can be hired for the day.
Offering a cosy sheltered spot with safe swimming and views out to sea towards Benidorm Island. This is a favourite with locals for an early morning swim in summer before the beach gets busy later in the day. In winter months the cove is ideal for sun bathing as it tends to be warmer, especially on cooler windy days.
Right by the beach is a popular seafood restaurant at the Club Náutico and just up the steps above the cove there are several lovely pavement cafés. You can also buy tickets along the harbour for boat trips to Altea, Calpe and Benidorm Island.
A great area to stay if you are after the atmosphere of the old town combined with a beach holiday in Benidorm Spain.
