PRIDE IN BENIDORM

Benidorm Pride from a small beginning back in 2011 when just 3,000 people came to witness the first ever Benidorm gay Pride parade, in 2025 over 25,000 people attended Benidorm during the big gay week that has now morphed into the “Benidorm Pride Festival”, a week long event for all LGBTQI+ people their friends and allies. The 16th anniversary 2026 Pride from September 1 to 6 is sure to be as fabulous as ever including the annual afternoon parade along the Playa Levante on Saturday the 5th.

What makes Pride Benidorm unique is the fact that it happens in the largest purpose-built tourist resort in Spain. When most Pride events consist of a day or maybe two, when everyone goes home at the end of the Parade or the next morning, Benidorm Pride can be combined with a 7 night or 14 night BIG gay holiday in Spain.

Thanks to a small team of hard working enthusiastic organisers and all the local gay bar owners and a 100% positive approach toward the event from the Town Hall, gay Pride in Benidorm has become the final go to end of summer closing party of the year. It is the last big Pride event in Europe, at the tail end of the summer season.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Naturally it is all about the rainbow, everywhere across the resort and especially in the old town the rainbow flag will be hanging out to say we are here, we have tons of love to share and it is our time to be mad, messy and a little bit bad. Pride 2026 will be edition 16 of the festival, with 30,000+ expected.

THE BARS
The true meaning of the Pride Festival will be found in the local gay bars, they are the folks who give 100% 365 days of the year and every bar will have it´s own fabulous 100% FREE events to keep the party going as a thank you to all those loyal customers.
